The grapes for this blend are mostly from the Stellenbosch region, but there are a few parcels from other areas, such as Durbanville. Despite the fact that the grapes were produced in dry conditions, the fruit was extremely exceptional and healthy.

Description
To extract tannin and colour, half of the wine was fermented in open cement tanks with periodical punch downs and pump overs. The other half was fermented in a closed stainless steel tank with eight hour pump overs. To ensure delicate tannins and avoid over extraction, the wines were pressed before complete alcoholic fermentation. The wine was aged for 12 months in 2nd and 3rd fill barrels.
