Product Information
Hand-picked on decomposed granite and schist soils that have matured. Overnight, the grapes were refrigerated. They were destemmed and crushed the next morning. After four hours of waiting, skin contact was obtained. Partially fermented by nature. In a barrel and in a tank, the fermentation takes place. The wine was matured on fine lees for six months. This showcases its exceptional quality.
Undoubtedly the country's newest chenin blanc hotspot, the Swartland winemakers are producing outstanding and thought-provoking wines like this one. Aromas of quince, pear and baking spice with more juicy pear on the palate, characterise this chenin's refreshing aftertaste which is clear and crisp with a flinty minerality and a hint of yellow stone fruit. It's delicious on its own, but is also wonderfully food friendly.
