More commonly known as Harlequins, these are a cheerful flower bulbs that produce a vivid combination of clashing colours. The patterns created by these colours reflect the cheerful aspect of its namesake.
The tiny sparaxis flowers have a mask-like characteristic in the centre of their petals and appear in orange, white, and cerise. The design is likewise vibrant, with heart-shaped yellow outlines set against a spiky black background. Plant in late autumn or early winter along garden paths or in a large pot.
