Topside is a tender and tasty cut of beef that makes an excellent roast. But, if you're feeling particularly adventurous and know what you're doing, try it on the braai. Or, perhaps slightly less adventurously, in a kettlebraai.
This topside beef has been cut from the cow's inner thigh and makes a tender and tasty roast when cooked. Best served medium rare surrounded by roast potatoes, it's the ideal centrepiece for a family celebration. Add in some yummy broccoli, carrots, and a crunchy salad, and open a good bottle of red wine, and you can't go wrong.
