The delightful crunch and rich chocolatey goodness will have you craving more.  You only need 4 ingredients: Simple Truth Chickpeas, Simple Truth Coconut Oil, your favourite dark chocolate, and Maldon Sea Salt. It’s so simple to make. First, roast the chickpeas in the air fryer until crispy and golden. Then drizzle with melted dark chocolate and allow to set. Finish with a sprinkle of sea salt and get snacking!

Directions

1. Strain the soaked chickpeas and place them in a bowl. Drizzle over the coconut oil and toss lightly until coated.

2. Roast the chickpeas in an air fryer at 190ºC for 15 – 20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.

3. Once the chickpeas are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and place in a bowl. Allow to cool slightly before pouring over the melted chocolate and mixing until lightly coated.

4. Place the chocolate-coated chickpeas on a baking tray lined with baking paper and allow to set. Once set, sprinkle with a dash of sea salt and serve.

 

Tip: Place the chocolate-coated chickpeas in the freezer to allow for faster setting.

  • 1 cup (250ml) Simple Truth Chickpeas; soaked overnight
  • 2 tsp. (10ml) Simple Truth Vegan Odourless Coconut Oil; melted
  • 50g dark chocolate; melted
  • ½ tsp. (2.5ml) Maldon Sea Salt
