Directions

1. Season steak with lemon pepper, then set aside to come to room temperature.

2. Mix butter, chakalaka, garlic and honey then set aside.

3. Cook steak over medium coals (or in a pan) until cooked to your preferred doneness (for medium rare cook it for 2 – 3 minutes per side).

4. Remove from the heat, spoon chakalaka butter over the steak, cover then leave to rest for 10 minutes. Slice and serve.

  • 100g salted butter; softened
  • ½ cup chakalaka
  • 1 tbsp. garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp. honey
