Shoprite delivers packages of love to mothers in Nelson Mandela Bay
Shoprite this week donated newborn care packages to seven public hospitals and clinics in the Nelson Mandela Bay municipality, where a total of approximately 400 babies are born every week.
Each package contains some essential items to make the first few days of motherhood a little easier, including Lovies disposable nappies and wet wipes.
Shoprite has a long-standing tradition of reaching out to and caring for the local communities in which it operates. Just last week the supermarket chain donated 500 food parcels to the Missionvale Care Centre following reports of extreme hunger and malnutrition in the Nelson Mandela Bay area.
