Looking for a great dish to make the family, but running out of time? We’ve got the answer for you! Cook succulent pork chops in your oven – try this recipe for Farmstead Pork Chops, Apple and Potato Tray Bake by Zola Nene. The perfect family meal in minutes!

Zola got her Farmstead pork thick cut to her preferred size by one of the master butchers inside Checkers. She marinates the chops in Forage and Feast Roasted Onion Braai Sauce for sweet perfection. This classic braai marinade is made in the Cape with sweet, slow-roasted onions, peach and apricot chutney, tangy tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce and hints of rooibos.

To compete this one tray oven bake, add wedges of red onions, chunks of tangy-sweet Jazz Apples and roasted potatoes. Now doesn’t that sound good?

Serve it to your family tonight. The ingredients are all available in-store at Checkers or get everything you need delivered in 60 minutes by Sixty60.

Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 200 °C and grease a large oven tray.
    2. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper, then pour over the braai sauce and toss well to coat before arranging on the tray.
    3. In a bowl, toss together the onion wedges, potatoes and apples with olive oil, paprika and season to taste. Arrange onto the tray around the pork chops.
    4. Cook in the oven for 45 minutes, turning the veg and pork halfway through cooking.
