Salmon Noodles & Stir-Fried Bok Choy by Zola Nene

Description

How do you catch a mouth-watering dish? Noodles are your culinary fishing line and the heavenly flavour is the hook. So, enjoy this salmon seafood feast!

Directions

1. Season the salmon with 5-spice. Heat olive oil in a pan, then cook the salmon for 4 minutes on the skin side.

2. Whisk together the garlic and ginger paste, soy sauce and honey.

3. Turn the salmon, then spoon half of the sauce onto the salmon and cook for another 2 minutes on the flesh side. Remove from the pan and set aside to keep warm. 

4. Toss the cooked noodles into the same pan, add the remaining sauce, and toss well to heat through.

5.  Heat another pan, add olive oil, then toss in the mushrooms and bok choy and stir-fry on high heat until leaves begin to wilt. Add sesame oil and sesame seeds, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

6.  Serve the salmon with the noodles and stir-fried veggies.

  • 2 tbsp. Chinese 5-spice
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. garlic and ginger paste
  • 4 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. Forage & Feast Honey
  • 100 g cooked noodles/spaghetti
  • 1 punnet baby bok choy; halved and washed
  • 4 shiitake mushrooms; sliced
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp. sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste
